If you’re looking for a unique and special Melbourne getaway this winter, look no further than the newly opened glamping experience at Peninsula Hot Springs. Glamping at Peninsula Hot Springs opened less than a year ago and is already very popular and crowded, especially on weekends!
Accommodation Peninsula Hot Springs
The lovely team invited us to try the Glamping and Dine package which is a standard glamping + dinner package. We really enjoyed our stay. It’s perfect for a special occasion: a birthday, anniversary or even a little local moon!

If you’ve been thinking about booking this experience for yourself, take a look below for more!
This superior barrel pool is located in the Spa Dreaming Center; access to which is included in your glamping stay.
The glamping experience is designed for two people and includes access to all on-site baths (including the recently launched night bath – yes 24-hour bath!), wellness activities and breakfast . Optional extras are also included in the package, such as dinner and spa treatments.
The glamping tents are located in a separate area, but an area close to all bathing areas. The tents are secluded with plenty of privacy and are set amongst beautiful gardens and ponds.
Awaken Is The Peninsula Hot Springs’ New Two Day Music, Arts, Yoga And Wellness Festival
Although the main structure is a large luxury safari-style tent, the interior floors are heated and there is also a partition system inside. The bathroom and the adjacent toilet are not enclosed in the tent, but are in a small room adjoining the tent, accessible through the doors. Very nice, comfortable and well thought out!
During our visit it was quite cold (May) but we did not find it cold at all in the tent. It actually felt pretty well insulated – the heated floors in particular were pretty toasty.
Inside the spacious glamping accommodation you will find plenty of space to relax: outdoor chairs, a fabulous armchair/day bed, a large wardrobe, all the amenities and everything you would expect from a luxury accommodation. There is also room service!
One of the things I like about spending the night in hot springs is that you can make the most of your stay by visiting the bathing areas at less convenient times of the day, for example. early in the morning when the sun rises, or late in the evening for a magical nighttime swimming experience before and after travelers visit.
The Best Hot Springs, Bathhouses And Spas To Visit In Victoria
It’s also very nice to be in such an innovative space, feeling the fresh air and watching nature makes everything so relaxing and slow.
The two photos above represent the glamping lodge area. First on the left are the glamping tents visible from the ponds/wetlands. And the second photo is the view from our glamping tent!
We had dinner that night (as part of our Glamping + Dine package) at the Spa Dreaming Cafe. Everything served at Spa Dreaming Cafe is healthy and refreshing. We ordered the grass-fed beef cheek (it was so well done!) and the super turkey green salad (the flavors here were so delicious together). The dinner package also includes drinks and a dessert plate to share.
How beautiful is a morning in the hot springs? At the spa, we visited the cliff pool to catch a glimpse of the sunrise and were also greeted by a magical view of low clouds over the plain.
Hot Springs In Australia
The barrel pools you see pictured here are in the Spa Dreaming Center, which is the adult-only section of Peninsula Hot Springs. If you’ve never been before, I totally recommend it. It’s a smaller area but much more intimate, quieter and with fewer customers. All glamping lodge stays include access to all spa areas, including the Spa Dreaming Center!
I love the breakfast at Peninsula Hot Springs. The Spa Dreaming Cafe is the perfect place to start the day healthy. You won’t find burgers and fries on the menu here (at least I never have!) but I guess that’s the point! The Spa Dreaming Cafe also prepares light and nutritious meals. There is also a delicious menu of fruit juices, smoothies and hot drinks with the meal. For the glamping package, breakfast with a cold drink + a hot drink is included in the stay. Stay At Peninsula Hot Springs, Accommodation, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia
The steamy destination, which saw a $13 million expansion in 2018, introduced 10 luxury glamping tents to the site, each a little different from the next. But they all embrace comfort, with thermally heated concrete floors, king beds with luxurious linens, spacious bathrooms, and private terraces.
Not only can guests enjoy the spoils of the paradise lodge, but the experience also includes 24-hour access to the geothermal mineral pools; so if you want to take a midnight swim, put on a bathrobe and get out. In the morning, breakfast will be served in the dining room of the Spa Dreaming Center, all inclusive of course.
You don’t have to be a glamper to dive under the stars, though; The bath is available 24/7 for those who don’t mind checking in after 11pm. Imagine you and your loved one listening to the chirping of crickets under the soothing expanse of stars… We relax just thinking about it.
Needless to say, Peninsula Hot Springs is Mornington’s premier destination for indulgence. Whether you want to take a dip, indulge in a spa treatment, participate in wellness activities, or practice yoga and meditation, The Springs has it all. With new nightly shows, you may never want to leave.
