Centre Dentaire St. Laurent
Richard joined our team as an associate in 2013, replacing Mr. Drummond when he retired. Richard graduated from Glasgow Dental School and worked in general practice in East Kilbride and Thornleybank. He completed additional training at the Maxillofacial Unit at Southern General Hospital, which provided him with a greater knowledge and experience in a wide range of surgical techniques, including intravenous sedation. He completed graduate studies in implantology.
Eilidh became a partner when she joined us in 2008. She took the place of her father, Mr. Craig.
Eilidh has acquired specialist qualifications in advanced botox and dermal fillers to provide a wide range of facial rejuvenation techniques.
Sharon joined the practice in late 2014. She graduated from Glasgow School of Dentistry in 1987 and has extensive experience in general practice, having her own practice for almost 17 years. In her spare time, she has a busy family life and tries to stay in shape by running and participating in 10k races.

Ross graduated from Glasgow Dental School and worked in general practice in East Kilbride. Ross is trained in all aspects of dentistry, but particularly enjoys cosmetic dentistry and has completed his orthodontic training Cfast.
Anton graduated from Glasgow Dental School and has worked at Greenlaw ever since. Anton completed his training in orthodontics Cfast.

Helen has been with the practice since 1978. She attended Langside College where she earned her NC in dentistry. She worked her way up and is now our practice manager. In her spare time, Helen enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren, and walking her dogs.
Kimberly has 17 years of experience in dental care. She is a qualified sedation and implant nurse as well as a Childsmile nurse for our practice. She has two young sons and enjoys spending time with them and relaxing in the sun.
Natalie has been a nurse in this practice for 17 years. He acquired his qualifications in sedation and implants. She is our LDU head nurse. On weekends, Natalie enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Lindsey began practicing 7 years ago as a trainee dental nurse. She has since obtained her SVQ in dental nursing as well as qualifications in sedation and dental implants. Lindsay enjoys walking in the hills in her spare time.

One of the newest members of our team, Linsey joined the practice in August 2018. She is a qualified dental nurse with over 10 years of experience and is trained in radiography. Linsey was a major asset to the team. Affectionately known as Wendy.

A full assessment of the mouth, head, and neck is important. With a complete examination, we will be able to rule out cavities, gum disease, infections, cancer of the oral cavity or other pathologies. Many systemic conditions can manifest in the mouth, face, or lymph nodes in the head and neck. A thorough assessment will ensure that the teeth and the rest of the mouth and body are taken care of. At appropriate intervals, we recommend taking x-rays to assess the presence of cavities or any other problem in the mouth. X-rays allow us to see things that we otherwise cannot see with the naked eye.

Sometimes our teeth have small pits and cracks that are deep and difficult to clean. This allows bacteria to enter these small grooves and create cavities. To avoid this, we apply putty to seal these grooves.
Tooth decay is caused by bacteria that use sugars in food and drink to create acid which in turn destroys tooth structure, creating holes in your teeth called cavities. Once these holes are created, a dental filling is needed to remove the cavity and seal the hole so that it does not progress and go deeper into your tooth.
We offer white (composite) and silver (amalgam) fillings. We will be happy to discuss the different options with you and help you decide what is best for your teeth if you need dental fillings.
DID YOU KNOW that some cavities should not be treated with dental fillings? In these cases, when the decay is in the outer part of the tooth and there is no physical cavitation or hole in the tooth, appropriate dietary modifications (such as reducing the amount of food you eat) as well as proper flossing, brushing with fluoride-containing toothpaste, and regular check-ups can prevent the progression of cavities. This means you can get away with it without having your teeth filled!

Because not all adult teeth enter the mouth at the same time, and because some adult teeth are actually smaller than their baby teeth, baby teeth serve as “space maintainers.” If a baby tooth is lost prematurely, the space where an adult tooth should have entered can close, making it difficult for the adult tooth to enter, creating crowding.
A child’s first dental checkup should happen much earlier than most people think. It is recommended that the child be seen 6 months after the eruption of the first tooth or at 1 year, whichever comes first.
