While dry ice blasting may sound like something out of a futuristic sci-fi comic, as DI Global Chief Operating Officer Ed Niemans explains, it’s not exactly a cutting-edge concept. “Dry ice blasting as a concept has been around since the 1970s,” he begins. “Dry Ice Scotland (later to become DI Global with the help of Air Liquide) started in 2011 with a mission to apply the technology to heavy duty applications we saw in the UK, such as coatings and corrosion removal.
