Yixiang is excited that the student environment and opportunities at Monash are really attractive. Being in Australia, a country of integrating culture, the Monash community is very embracing people of all cultures and identities, paving the way for building a global network upon graduation. He also feels that his colleagues at his university are helping him gain new perspectives and worldviews, ultimately turning him into a compassionate person.
Imagine you are part of Australia’s largest community of law students? Oh my God. Yixiang has the opportunity and is excited to be part of the Monash Law Students’ Association (LSS), which allows him to undertake a number of exciting projects. The clinical experience he gains at Monash develops his practical skills and academic discipline. This makes Monash a very attractive and highly competitive destination for international students.
By participating in various student organizations such as the Monash Law Student Association and Debate Clubs, Yixiang hopes that these valuable experiences will provide him with the skills and knowledge he needs to fulfill his ambition to work for a long time with the United Nations (UN).
Over a hundred students apply for merit scholarships worth up to A $ 50,000, and only 31 students have received them. As one of these students, Yixiang feels happy to receive a scholarship offer. He also appreciates the efforts of the Monash community for confirming his perseverance and philanthropic support for his future studies.

Considering Yixiang received a Monash University scholarship, he shares his valuable insights with future students. “First of all, know the goals of the scholarship you are applying for. In my case, the Monash International Merit Scholarship is based on my academic history and my personal statement. You need to meet all their goals for your app to be competitive, so I worked hard and got good grades. But that’s not enough, ”says Yixiang.
A personal statement, as we all know, is the basis of college application. Yixiang believes that students will need an excellent personal statement describing their potential to become a Monash ambassador. According to Yixiang, superficiality should be avoided, adding, “I’ll tell my friends to come to Monash.” /Masters/Ph.D. A bachelor’s degree in law is required to obtain. according to the law. Think seriously about what you are going to bring to Monash? Maybe your open mind? Your leadership? Your desire to make a broad and lasting impact? For me, I was really involved in the debate (I participated in more than ten model UNs) and this shaped my dream of working at the United Nations. “
When planning to study abroad, the student must work diligently to conduct independent research. Yixiang has analyzed every little detail about the scholarships offered by Monash and the university. He also actively sought advice from Monash students on Reddit. He then explains that it took him a month to finalize his personal statement, and encourages prospective students to take the time to write an excellent essay that is key to the entire process.
While all this may sound daunting, Yixiang thinks it is worth the effort. The AECC feels excited that he can be part of the whole process as Yixiang has expressed his greatest appreciation for him. He thanked his teachers, parents and friends for providing him with a positive environment to learn and grow up.
