From Auckland, EK451 departs at 12:40 and lands in Bali at 17:55 the same day, just in time for pre-dinner cocktails if you’re not continuing on to Dubai. The flight is scheduled for 9 hours and 15 minutes.

If you are still traveling, there is a stopover of 1 hour 55 meters, leaving Dubai at 19:50 and landing after midnight at 00:45.

Returning from Dubai, EK450 departs at 6:55 am and arrives in Bali at 8:20 pm. The flight to Auckland then departs at 22:00 and arrives at 10:00 the next morning.

There is plenty of award space on this route for the coming months, so it’s a great option for those looking to vacation in Bali or use it as a stopover on their way to the Middle East.

There are 8 suites on this aircraft, but no overhead shower like the A380 that flies directly to Dubai from Auckland.

The much-loved 777-300ER Business Class will feature on this route, with 42 seats arranged in a 2-3-2 layout. We’re not usually fans of the layout, but it might appeal to those traveling as a family on this holiday route.

Note that some 777-300ER aircraft still have angled flat seats, although their newer jets have completely flat and updated cabin designs.
