Hotel Realm is located along the National Raceway, right next to the Parliamentary Triangle, 15 minutes from the National Gallery of Australia and Lake Burley Griffin and just 10 km from Canberra Airport.

If you plan to drive to Canberra (which we highly recommend), there is free parking available for hotel guests, which is remarkable in terms of location and convenience.
We stayed in the Executive Suite which includes a king size bed, private bathroom with spa bath, kitchen, sitting area and private balcony overlooking the headland of Parliament House.
The room was modern, clean and spacious… and the fact that we spent most of our time in our fluffy bathrobes scrolling through our list of on-demand movies and Foxtel is a good sign of comfort!
We were also impressed by the kitchenette complete with a Nespresso machine, a dishwasher-dryer, a microwave, a fridge and late night snacks.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to experience Mudd The Spa but would love to add a massage or beauty treatment to our next visit.
The buffet breakfast at Buvette Bistro offers continental options such as bacon, mushrooms and eggs cooked your way, as well as plenty of vegan-friendly options such as muesli, cereals, cakes and pancakes.
Although there are 5 eateries on site (and many more nearby), we also chose to eat at Buvette and we’re glad we did. We chose the chef’s recommendation and the food tasted as good as it looked and we still couldn’t get over the rhubarb crumble.
The wine selection is also impressive. We chose the locally grown white and red and both were an absolute delight.

Overall we had a truly 5 star experience at Hotel Realm and this will be our hotel of choice on our next trip to Canberra. Hotel partners shown with inspection labels have installed enhanced safeguards in their facilities to minimize the spread of covid-19.
