Hyatt Regency Long Beach – The Hyatt Regency Long Beach has a prime location in Long Beach on the waterfront with dining, shopping and entertainment all around. The hotel offers easy access to all major area attractions, including the Convention Center, Aquarium of the Pacific, Shoreline Village and Pike Entertainment Center. This would also be a good place to stay before or after the cruise if departing from the Long Beach cruise/ferry terminal.
The lobby is large and open, with the check-in desk at the back of the lobby as you enter. If you arrive early before the regular check-in time, your luggage can be held for you, so you can enjoy the area’s activities while you wait. Access to Shoreline Village is a breeze on the walkway from the hotel to the restaurants and shops in the area.

A large lagoon surrounds the 17-story glass tower and during the warmer months you can canoe in the lagoon for a nice relaxing ride on the water.
A heated pool, hot tub, and fire pit are available to guests, along with a fitness center.
The Club Lounge is located on the top floor, with access limited to Hyatt Gold Passport Diamond members or guests who have booked a Regency Club Level room. Access to the Club Lounge can help you save money as you have access to complimentary breakfast, snacks/beverages throughout the day and hors d’oeuvres and desserts in the evening .
Parking is available in a covered garage, with self parking $26 and valet parking available for $29.

I would say that the hotel is equally suitable for business and leisure travelers and is a good reflection of the Hyatt Regency hotel brand.
Cove Coffee Bar+ Lounge: offers snacks and drinks or casual fast food and more than a comfort food menu for dinner

Shoreline Village: Features waterfront shops, restaurants, and a beautiful boardwalk path that stretches toward the town’s beach.
The Pike: offers restaurants, shops, a movie theater and a Ferris wheel. There is also another Hyatt hotel on the Pike, the Hyatt Centric the Pike Long Beach, which is more of a trendy boutique hotel similar to the Andaz.
The Queen Mary: Visit the historic ship near the ferry/cruise terminal or consider staying overnight on the former cruise ship which is also a hotel now.
Long Beach Cruise/Ferry Terminal: Princess, Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Lines dock here. You can stay at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach before or after the cruise, take a dinner cruise or take a ferry to nearby Catalina Island.

There are tons of things to do in Long Beach and for our last trip here we visited the Aquarium of the Pacific, Shoreline Village and Pike, before heading to Anaheim and visiting Disneyland for the second part of our trip.
The biggest advantage of this hotel and the area it is located in is that it is within walking distance of everything you would want to experience in Long Beach and also conveniently located near the cruise terminal for quick and easy access. maybe planning on going.
I was able to book this stay with points + cash and was upgraded to the Regency Club lounge given my Hyatt Diamond status, which is a huge plus. Prices vary by season, so using points or a points + cash award, as part of the Hyatt Gold Passport loyalty program, is a good option to have.
