Lenny & Larry’s The Complete Cookie – If you haven’t heard of Lenny and Larry cookies, they are healthy cookies packed with 16 grams of protein.
Well, no need. Although it depends on your definition of “healthy,” these cookies may tempt you.
Lenny & Larry’s The Complete Cookie
Lenny & Larry hit the scene several years ago with their “finished cookies.” Although there are other products in the market now, let’s look at these first.
Lenny & Larry`s Double Chocolate Complete Cookies (12/4 Oz), Lenny And Larry’s The Complete Cookie
Because it’s a “whole” cookie, it doesn’t refer to its nutritional breakdown, which refers to a random assortment of terms that this particular company deems important to overall health.
They are vegetarian, no dairy. They contain no soy products, non-GMO, artificial sweeteners or high fructose corn syrup.
Not all of these terms mean a cookie is healthy, they just mean checking certain food boxes.
As a vegan, if a non-GMO cookie is healthy by your standards, great! But when it comes to Lenny & Larry, it’s being pushed more in the fitness community as a protein cookie comparable to a protein bar, and that’s where I see a contradiction.

Extra fiber and protein. When you look at the label, remember that the nutrition facts are for half a cookie (what kind of psycho only eats half a cookie?), so you need to take that into account when looking at the full nutrition facts.
I recently got a so-called “regular” cookie from a local deli and couldn’t help but notice that the nutrition was nearly identical to a Lenny & Larry cookie, with some added protein and reduced fiber.
As you can see here, the calories, fat and sugar are almost identical for a whole cookie and a regular baked cookie.
I don’t know about you, but I much prefer the taste of freshly baked cookies to these packaged “protein” cookies.
Lenny & Larry’s High Protein Cookies Boom
I’ll sacrifice an extra 5 grams of protein for better taste. If you’re watching what you eat, be careful not to assume that just because a product is high in protein, it’s automatically super healthy.
If you enjoy the taste of Lenny & Larry’s Complete Cookie or have dietary restrictions that make the cookie unsuitable, by all means enjoy!
Just because something is marketed as a high protein option doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best source of protein.
There’s nothing wrong with eating a whole cookie to get some extra protein—don’t get me wrong.

Foods you love, like a freshly baked homemade cookie, because you think it’s a healthy option.
The “Live for Life Diet” tops it in almost every way, except that it’s low in fiber. You can eat flavored Greek yogurt, flavored almonds (Sriracha is great) and beer and come out with more favorable macros than a protein cookie.
This example could be a combination of foods or the oatmeal raisin cookie mentioned in the previous graphic, but the point remains.
Just because a food isn’t labeled “healthy” or “no protein” doesn’t mean it’s bad for you. Considering the empty calories, beer can be paired with some tasty, healthy snacks and still stay well within your goals.

Of course, you can eat the entire cookie if you feel like it. But it’s not necessarily the best source of protein.
Yes, 18 grams of protein is a reasonable amount. But when looking at the nutrition facts overall, you can actually get more protein from the common foods you enjoy.
In the past, the whole cookie was marketed as a protein cookie, and I’ve always had a question about a 420 calorie cookie with 16 grams of protein called a protein cookie.
Unlike Total Cookie, The Boss! The cookie is not entirely plant-based, and uses both plants and milk as sources of protein.

Now, here’s something to remember: PASS! A cookie weighs 57 grams, the same size
Total cookie. In other words, you’re not getting a super-sized cookie, but a regular-sized cookie with added protein.
As for the flavor of the cookie: I reviewed it for you, you can decide for yourself if it’s worth it…
Lenny & Larry’s now offers 4 types of cookies: The Whole Cookie, The Boss! cookie, The Keto Cookie and The Complete Crunchy Cookie.

Each comes in several flavors (two popular flavors are Snickerdoodle and Chocolate Peanut Butter, as well as seasonal flavors like Pumpkin Spice), so let’s take a look at all the different chocolate chip flavors while seeing how each one stacks up. Other…
All of these cookies have different serving sizes, but by comparing them, we can determine which is healthier based on how much you need.
Low calorie: Whole Crunchy Cookies, 160 calories. A serving bag of these crunchy cookies is your low-calorie option, although the serving size is smaller than other cookies. Side note: In my experience, these are definitely the best tasting of all the options.
High Protein: Boss! One cookie, 18 grams of protein. It has half the calories but more protein than a whole cookie!
Complete Cookie By Lenny & Larry: Lowest Price At Dsn Denton
Low Sugar: Boss! One cookie has a very low sugar content, with only 1 gram in the entire cookie. It’s surprising to see, because a keto cookie contains a lot of sugar (only 2 grams, but more). If you’re gluten-free and/or wheat-free, you’ll want to stick with a keto cookie.
High in fiber: One whole cookie, 10 grams of fiber. Although the cookie is high in fiber, it comes with significantly more calories and total carbohydrates than other options.
Low-fat: Perfect Crunchy Cookies, 8 grams of fat. If all dimensions were equal, the amount of fat would actually be the same as The Boss! Cookie, because that server size is 50% bigger.
Vegan: Whole Cookie, Keto Cookie or Whole Crunchy Cookies. Any of those 3 will satisfy a vegetarian!

As you can see, there are many variables to consider when deciding which cookie is “healthy,” but I hope this comparison helps!
If you’re new here, my blog has a ton of high protein recipes. One of my favorites is the giant protein cookie recipe I made.
It took a lot of experimentation to get it right, but check out how my protein cookie compares to Lenny & Larry’s Complete Cookie:
Not to toot my own horn or anything, but this cookie is unreal. Trust me, it tastes incredible; It tastes like a cookie with protein powder. This is the real deal!

“People have always wanted to eat cookies, and then when consumers see that the cookie is natural, non-GMO, high in protein and fiber, the appeal is even stronger. It’s not like eating a cookie with lots of sugar and calories.
“People always thought you had to eat a bar to get some protein, but granola bars, for example, don’t have much protein and are very dry – that market dried up a bit. Then protein bars came along, but the problem is that most of them don’t taste good, and most of them aren’t natural. .”
Sales of Lenny & Larry’s high-protein wholemeal cookies at several major US retailers, including Kroger and Whole Foods and Grouch, suggest the product has a strong future in the supermarket.
“With supermarkets in the U.S., it’s interesting because you always have Whole Foods of the World in healthy, natural ingredients, but you have Ralphs in L.A. that has one aisle of healthy products . . . two aisles. The market has built aisle after aisle of healthy, high-protein products. , seems to be putting all-natural products in those aisles and the segment is growing and growing.”
