Very good, very good, the best!
Just a two-hour drive from Sydney, the Hunter Valley is one of NSW’s most popular wedding destinations. And for good reason. The views are spectacular, with endless rolling hills and vineyards. It also has some of the best food and wine in the country. From private villas to resorts, there is a plethora of accommodations to choose from, perfect for a destination wedding. It has some of the best wedding venues in Australia.
Lindemans Estate Hunter Valley Weddings
There are plenty of wedding venues in the Hunter Valley, and they seem to pop up all the time. I’m not going to list all the venues here, I’m just listing my favorite wedding venues that I think are great for their couples.
Best Hunter Valley Wedding Venues
Circa 1876 is a beautiful country restaurant owned by the Escarpment Convent Group. I forgot how many weddings I shot there, but there were quite a few. If you choose this place, you will get a beautiful wedding.
Onsite accommodation, beautiful outdoor party space, great photo spots, great restaurant and great staff. It has everything you need for the perfect wedding. It can accommodate up to 150 guests.
Enzo Weddings Hunter Valley, located in the IronBark Hill vineyard, is one of my favorite wedding venues. I have photographed this location several times. I would describe it as modern rustic elegance. I highly recommend it.
It has on-site accommodation, beautiful air-conditioned accommodation and a reception area overlooking the vines. And it has 30 hectares of land, so there are plenty of places to take pictures. Great staff and can accommodate up to 150 guests.
Wine & Dine Hunter Valley
Adams Peak is one of the best places in the Hunter Valley, and one of the most popular.
This is a family business they are very passionate about. It has the best views of the Hunter, on-site accommodation and many event and reception spaces.
One of the best features of this couple is that you can book places for the entire weekend. It can accommodate up to 160 guests.
It has a sandstone building in the vines called Pepper Creek Chapel. One side of the chapel is even opened so that more people can easily see and you will get a breeze during the ceremony.

Nothing is more rustic than the hospitable Pepper Creek Barrel Room. Accommodates up to 180 guests.
Mindaribba House is a family owned and operated business located on the banks of the Paterson River. If you book a wedding, the entire property is yours.
Every year they put money into the site to make it better. They recently did an Indian concrete floor so now you have two options for your reception room, now you always have the option to bring back the wet weather for your event.
There is accommodation on site, lots of places to choose from to party, great photo spots as the hotel is huge. You can’t go wrong with Mindaribba House.
Steph And Corey’s Ben Ean Wedding, Hunter Valley
Wallalong House is run by the same owners as Mindaribba House and they do the same great job here.
A full day from start to finish can be done in this wonderful home. This historic house has a residential area. The ceremony is usually held between two large fig trees with countryside views. The reception was held in a permanent Indian tent. It can accommodate up to 150 guests.
Wandin Valley Estate is a working winery where you can have your wedding. This is a very large property with a living area. And hundreds of kangaroos!
There are three options for the wedding ceremony. The barrel room also provides a nice damp setting for recreating party scenes. The reception was held at the Cricketers Hall overlooking the Cricket Oval. It can accommodate up to 120 guests.
Vanessa + Phillip
Bistro Molines is a great restaurant in the Tallavera Grove vineyard. It has won many chef hat awards and is one of the best restaurants in the Hunter Valley.
It is located on the scenic summit of Mount View and has some of the best views in the Hunter.
There is a small house that you can prepare yourself. There are also rows of vineyards that make for stunning photos. It can accommodate up to 90 guests.
Margan Wines and Restaurant has one of the best mountain views in the Hunter Valley and one of the best barrel rooms of any hunter wedding venue.
Angela & Luke // Margan Wines
It is probably best known for its amazing wines that win many awards every year. But it is a very beautiful property to host a wedding. Lots of land, surrounded by vineyards, sheep and alpacas. There are no residential areas, but there are many houses around the Broke and Pokolbin areas.
Redleaf Wollombi is a luxurious country retreat on 100 acres in the historic town of Wollombi.
The house itself is a large house inspired by Tuscan style and can accommodate 8 to 12 guests. The house has two separate parts, so the couple can easily get ready there, but they’re still so far apart that they can’t see each other.
Redleaf Barn can accommodate up to 60 guests, or you can rent tents for more.

There are some on-site accommodation options available. You can throw a party outside the house under the huge fig tree. Your reception is held in the barn with stunning countryside views.
The house is huge with old buildings, warehouses, trees and gardens, so there are plenty of photo opportunities. It can accommodate up to 120 guests.
Albion Farms consists of 100 hectares of farmland and 25 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and lakes. You will get the best of both worlds in this beautiful place.
There are many places around the house to hold a wedding. “The Barn” is one of the prettiest and most beautiful barns I’ve ever seen at the festival.
Hunter Valley Regional Guide 2021 By Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association
Bimbadgen Palmers Lane is new but has quickly become one of the most popular wedding venues in the Hunter Valley.
It was built for weddings, so it has modern elegance but still has a rustic charm. There is accommodation. Beautiful choice for weddings. You can hold your wedding reception under the stars or in the comfort of an air-conditioned room.
It is also housed in a large house with views of the mountains and vineyards. This is a beautiful wedding venue.
Ben Ean, officially known as Lindemans Winery, has undergone extensive renovations throughout the grounds since changing its name. I have to say, the changes look great!

It is located in the center of Pokolbin and has one of the most beautiful views in the photo. Rolling hills, rows of vines and a tree on top of the hill.
The ceremony can be held in the yard, it looks great after the renovation, they have a large reception room.
If you are lucky enough to own a property in the Hunter Valley, or if your family owns a property in the Hunter Valley, you should definitely consider using it for your wedding.
These images will be more meaningful and personal to you. Plus, you’ll have photos where others don’t.

So if you have a home garden…use a barn or lawn. Or, if you have a house with a large backyard…rent a tent. Then pick up some takeout or food trucks. will be wonderful!
