My wife and I recently had two opportunities to stay at the Cairns Mid City Luxury Suites. We traveled to Cairns by train so the location of this accommodation was perfect for us. It was walking distance from the train (less than 5 minutes).

Everything you need for your stay is provided. The rooms are well equipped, clean and quiet. Just the thing for a good night’s rest after a big day of sightseeing. I am really impressed with the management here. They knew me by name even though I had never been here before and helped me carry my luggage up and down the stairs. The space was in a good location near the local market Rusty’s, several good restaurants and shops. The apartment was spacious with a large kitchen, balcony and living room. Will stay here again.
Hotel Mid City Luxury Suites
I stayed here for one night while transiting between Green Island and Brisbane. It’s everything you could ask for in cheap accommodation. The rooms are clean and have everything you need for any length of stay. The room has a kitchenette and a washer and dryer. I couldn’t make it to the pool because of the weather, but I guess it would be fine. The managers were very friendly and very helpful. I can wholeheartedly say that I would stay here again.
Great little apartments in Cairns city center opposite Cairns Central Mall. Nicely maintained building with covered parking, swimming pool and barbecue. The building has only 2 floors. There is no elevator, but a short walk up the stairs is great exercise. We had a front apartment with a balcony. There is no street noise except for cars during working hours, but speed is controlled by traffic lights. Nothing is heard when the balcony door is closed.
The apartment itself was perfect. One bedroom for a couple, fully equipped kitchen/dining/living room, balcony and a large bathroom that doubles as a laundry room. Numerous performance points get a definite thumbs up! The entire area of the apartment is used without wasting space. It was very comfortable for a couple. It is cleaned often. Furniture and equipment well maintained. Managers very friendly. Overall a great stay.
You stayed 7 days in a one-bedroom apartment. Very clean and comfortable. The managers are great, very helpful and friendly. The apartment was large with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and sitting area. Beautiful, comfortable double bed, essential for a good night’s sleep, and also a very quiet property. The location is excellent with Cairns Central shopping center directly across the street. Guarded undercover parking is practical. There is a beautiful pool and barbecue area. There is no restaurant on the property, but there are many restaurants within walking distance. In the center there is a cafe, great for breakfast and a dining room. There are about 20 restaurants within a radius of 250 meters, so getting something to eat is not a problem. It is also an easy walk to Esplanade Pool and Cairns. All in all a great place to stay in Cairns and highly recommended. Oh and free WiFi.

Last week I stayed at Mid City Luxury Suites for four nights and it was great. The owners Sandra and Shaun are very pleasant and very helpful. The location is absolutely perfect as it is right across the street from the center of Cairns which is a huge shopping centre. It is only a 10-minute walk from the Esplanade. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and not noisy. Free wireless internet is also available. Try to get a lower floor if you can’t handle a few stairs. All in all I would not hesitate to recommend Mid City to anyone looking for good clean accommodation in a very central location.”
We stayed overnight for a business meeting the next morning. Friendly manager – easy check-in. The unit was clean, spacious, very comfortable and more than well equipped. Suitable for a longer stay in Cairns – with separate bedroom, kitchen and laundry. Great location – walking distance to shops and restaurants. Safe parking and access was a selling point for me. I will definitely be back if you need accommodation in Cairns in the future.
A relaxing pace to stay, close to bus and train services, opposite a city center mall which had everything you need including a supermarket. One block from the fruit and vegetable market and steps from the famous Esplanade with lots of great restaurants and the night market
We stayed for 10 nights in June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Shane and Sandra have just taken over as managers and are doing a great job. They fix a lot of little things and have a great customer relationship. The location is excellent with Cairns city center shopping, Cairns train station and buses across the road. I would definitely stay again.
New Lease On Life: Old Hotel Now Home To Loft Apartments
The location is very convenient, close to the mall and other amenities like the train station and only 15 minutes drive from the airport. The staff, especially Charlie (the manager), is very warm and friendly.
We were greeted by friendly staff who couldn’t have been more helpful, once we found out our camper van wouldn’t fit in the undercover parking, problem solved, we then went into our room to find an absolute gem! ! All the facilities you could need to enjoy your stay overnight or for a month! ! We relaxed on the balcony with a refreshing drink overlooking the passers-by, and with Cairns Central across the street it’s a shopper’s delight. Our room was clean, well maintained and secure. I highly recommend Mid City and will definitely stay again! !
I usually book at the Esplanade when staying in Cairns, but on this occasion Cairns was heavily booked. I booked this property for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised. Excellent 2+1 apartment, in good condition and very suitable for those who want to have a fully equipped kitchen. Off street parking conveniently located opposite Cairns Central and very helpful front of house staff. I will use this place again, it’s only a 5-10 minute walk from the Esplanade but away from the noise and crowds.
We stayed 4 weeks in Mid City – Cairns. We really felt at home as the owners who run their own business are a lovely, friendly and supportive couple. Thanks to the cleanliness of the hotel, you will feel relaxed and refreshed every day. The service was perfect as I knew the hotel has a security main door which makes you feel safe at night. Also, as far as I remember, the number of apartments is 19, so at night it is nice and quiet to enjoy a good sleep. What I like most about the location is that the hotel is right across from a central shopping complex with major retailers and grocery stores very close and handy. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need. We will definitely go to Cairns again and stay at this hotel.
