The quietness of this place is amazing! It’s nice to chill on the sunbed. The room is big and very clean. The bed is big and comfortable! Secret restaurant is very good!!! The staff everywhere are kind, especially the guy by the river who takes you to the little water!!!
The only problem is that there are no stairs to the pool from the bed. Walk up and down my door. Not a big problem though. Another thing is the small river you have to cross every time you want to go to Nai Yang Village or the beach. If you want to go after 9 PM it is better to take a taxi (250-300b) to the hotel than to walk through the dark forest with your flashlight! But I didn’t find that a big problem because it’s not far so taxis are easy and cheap…
All the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to provide assistance when asked. The interior of our house is beautiful and cleaned well every day. The beach is easily accessible and the small beach town with its many restaurants is only a ten minute walk from the hotel.
Private Pool Villa Phuket
Many outbuildings need new woodwork and paint. Our first two bad TVs were replaced on the last day with new models but only 13 channels were available. There’s a reason it’s too short. The concept of the ferry is unique, but the hotel needs to update the dock and the ferry itself. The hotel menu is very cheap, and the breakfast may benefit from other options.

There are few things they can do, like not paying for sugar. And while we were on our way to the airport, our driver called to say that he had borrowed two bottles of water. We were told when we checked into our room that the water was free but the snacks and food there was a charge if consumed. I thought it was too small
The aircon is working hard and can’t be fixed. There was a complementary water in the fridge called Evian and we paid a lot for it. Now, free water is a common thing in the area, which is good

The pool is beautiful. Upgraded to a villa with a private pool though the large pool area is great. The staff is great.
You have to cross a river to the beach, restaurants and shops. Shuttle service is sometimes handled by hotel staff. Because of the high tide, it was not working, you had to board the station, even though we communicated via WhatsApp and made a few steps to manage it. If you don’t have international data/services you don’t know how you can contact them. The food/drink options at the hotel are not very good, about a 10 -15 minute walk to the beach shops and vendors.
Beach and Market nearby walking distance the beach is just across the river where the market is a 6-10 minute walk and the staff are very helpful. They gave me a free upgrade :). The Villa with Pool is a must stay and great value for money, for couples looking for a relaxing time. A secluded location with a beach nearby, if you want to enjoy the Phuket side, this is the place. There is also plenty of food available.
Vegetarian options are on the menu if the restaurant is small. To go to the beach you have to ride a raft in a small river, which is exciting and very nice during the day but at night the water is flooded and it’s scary. A small bridge is a better choice.
Nai Yang Beach Hotels
We have Thai massage at the house. Mine is fine but my massus husband has no experience. We paid twice from outside massage places expecting a better massage but the service was poor.
It really exceeded our expectations. The staff is very kind and helpful. We upgraded upon arrival to have access to the bathroom from the garden which was great. The beach is very nice. After reading the reviews I thought it would be more than this but it was perfect. There are a number of beach bars and restaurants, including a nice beach hotel where you can eat/drink. Black ginger is highly recommended for a good night’s sleep. There are so many things to do that you can book to do all day trips etc. We planned to stay somewhere else in Phuket after visiting the city but decided to come back to l’esprit after loving it so much. Honestly the best hospitality we could ask for. Despite the small entrance bridge I’ve seen others say, yes people leave after 10 but you can call the hotel and be ready to go back whenever there is a problem people will pull it for you. No cab required. Good experience x
I arrived here after six weeks of traveling to India and navigating the Adaman Sea. It’s very good. Quiet, beautiful, good food, a walk to the beach, peaceful and just what I was looking for. The staff are helpful and very friendly. I loved the pool on my deck. A great place to chill for a few days!
