Meanwhile, Ford has announced a “complete redesign” of its popular V8 model (85 percent of sales), offering 33kW more power than before with “higher rev capability than any previous Mustang GT”.
This 339kW power cap is due to a new injection system: “high-pressure direct injection and low-pressure port injection.” Here the torque jumps by 26 Nm to 556 Nm.
According to Ford, the V8’s manual transmission receives a general overhaul “with a dual-disc clutch and dual-mass flywheel.”
All versions boast new shock absorbers. Ford also claims that their new wishbone rear suspension system, along with new anti-roll bars, increases lateral stiffness.

The Mustang EcoBoost features a new alloy wheel design as standard. The GT carries over the mesh aesthetic from the current version, while also offering a 19-inch alloy option.
The new color palette includes the signature Royal Crimson, Kona Blue or Orange Fury. Over the Top (OTT) line packages are also available.
