Located on the edge of a charming European-style ski village, Pan Pacific allows you to enjoy Blackcomb Whistler’s vibrant nightlife after hours when you want an evening without having to listen as you enter. ready for There you will be greeted by smiling staff who want to make your trip memorable. Please notify the resort in advance and they will prepare a suite for you with a board, high chair, monitors, etc. The lodge even welcomes family members (of all sizes!) for a small fee – a portion of which is donated to a local animal shelter. On your crew’s first powder day, you’ll be glad the lifts are so close. No need to rush to the complimentary breakfast – the Whistler Village Gondola and Blackcomb Excalibur Ski Lift are just a five-minute walk from the cabin, an easy walk even for toddlers. The world famous ski school offers courses for all ages and levels. There are adventure camps for kids as young as 3, while ride-along classes allow teens to play in the parks and tubs. Grab yourself some lunch on the mountain or back by the apartment (it’s there, after all). After an adventure-filled day in the mountains, return to the Pan Pacific for some R’n R. Can’t go out? Order room service from the famous Earls restaurant and grab something to eat (try the Mocha Kahlua Ice Cream Pie if you’re craving something sweet). End the evening by checking out the outdoor hot tubs for long, luxurious soaks.
All bright and inviting studios and one or two bedroom apartments are tastefully decorated and well equipped. The full kitchen has everything you need to prepare your signature meal and includes modern stainless steel appliances. Dining tables in one- and two-room apartments allow you to sit down to eat. Studios include a thoughtful Murphy bed that gives you extra space during the day. The beautiful and spacious living area (many have sofa beds) has plenty of seating for quality time with the crew and a flat screen TV for movie night. Light up the gas fireplace for a more cozy atmosphere, or get some fresh air on your private balcony.

Whistler Blackcomb is also home to 100 miles (that’s 100 miles for you Americans) of cross-country skiing — including plenty of dog-friendly trails — and turns into a mountain bike paradise in the warmer months.

Located at the base of Whistler Mountain, walking distance to Blackcomb Excalibur Gondola and Whistler Village Gonola. Whistler Village is pedestrian only and offers great shopping, fine dining and an active nightlife. The area also offers a museum, art gallery, library and spa.

Our family is lucky enough to visit Whistler several times a year since it is only a 90 minute drive from our home in Vancouver. As casual people, we like to try another family-friendly hotel in the village whenever possible. During this particular stay, we were very impressed with our first visit to the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Center, which was recently named Best Family Hotel 2015 in Tripadvisor’s Travelers Choice Awards.
Nestled in the heart of Whistler Village, it’s close to all the action, yet incredibly quiet. Fully equipped luxury apartments make it very easy and comfortable with children. While we usually bring breakfast when staying in the kitchen suite, there was no need as there was a full complimentary breakfast buffet. Not only that, the hotel hosts happy hours in the evenings, which include free cocktails for adults and cookies, hot chocolate and s’mores for kids to burn in the poolside fire.

Pan Pacific Whistler Village has a variety of room configurations (all with kitchenettes, fireplaces and balconies) perfect for families traveling with children – from studios with 4 to 2 bedrooms. With living room that sleeps 6. Recreational facilities at the hotel are excellent and include a fully equipped gym, spa and a beautiful outdoor pool (with 2 hot tubs). Although not directly from the lifts like sister property Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside, your ski gear is quickly taken to a locker upon arrival at this convenient location. My kids also thought it was important to clean the room with chocolates and coloring books in the evening.
Note: While both Pan Pacific accommodations in Whistler are very high end, I would choose this one when traveling with kids because it is in a less busy area than the other, which is the Longhorn Pub. Close to and above the Dub Lane Gate pub (although the latter is a more family-friendly establishment, well worth a visit). Free breakfast and evening happy hour are also special features of Whistler Village Center.
