I’ve always wanted a theater system and thought I’d try this one strictly for the 30,000 hour bulb life and not having to put it around the room. Honestly, the picture is amazing! Works fine with fire stick and nintendo switch. The sound is down, but I get a surround system for it. And it has limited 2 hdmi ports and I have 3 gaming systems, but IN GENERAL!! THE PICTURE QUALITY IS AMAZING!! It’s fine with some rooms with sunlight, but in a dark room you feel like you’re in a theater.

Also a micro adjustable table (all angles) to position the unit to alleviate alignment issues. We do it manually and it works, but a proper platform would be better.

I’m trying to find Short Throw Projectors at nearby stores like Best Buy, but I don’t see them being sold anywhere. I see it is only available online. Any reason why?
The older model PF1000 has 3D support and you can still find it for sale online. However, 3D content hasn’t taken off at the consumer level, so I’d recommend not basing your purchasing decisions on 3D unless you have a specific need.
Online reviews say about 55 milliseconds, which isn’t great, but better than some TVs. Probably good for non-competitive games.

The Hf85 is brighter and has a “shorter” throw, so you can put the unit significantly closer to the wall for a given image size. The HF65 has an LED light source instead of the HF85 laser, some viewers find the images from laser projector users* disturbing and rarely bothersome due to the “rainbow effect” when you move your head. However, others do not see the effect. The HF65, which does not use lasers, will never have this problem. YMMV
