Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint – Matte lipsticks were all the rage in 2016, and the trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Almost every brand has their own line of liquid lipsticks and I have reviewed many of them in the past. So today I wanted to share with you a comparison of Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lipstick ($26 CAD). The line includes neutral “my lips but pretty” shades, and today we have ten of them for you. Tarte Tarteist Lipstick comes in a tube that gives off a beautiful golden tint to the lips. The black cap’s companion has pedals. There’s a small reservoir on the doe-foot tip that helps hold extra product, and I recommend using a lip balm with a hint of shade for proper application when the applicator is clear.
Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint
Tarte Tarteist Lipstick is a liquid lipstick that has a smooth flow, yet is light and creamy, with full matte and transfer. The formula has a mild chemical smell (albeit a very unpleasant one) and dries very quickly. The larger shades are more pigmented, so they’re more pigmented. I have all the shades below, but this collection is pretty heavy on the neutral tones. Most of them look like others, which makes you wish there were more shadows.

As mentioned above, lip colors are permanent, but if you eat oily food or drinks, they will fade. The formulation is similar to the Stila and Kat Von D lipsticks, the Tarteist Lipsticks are a bit runnier than the Stila and are more intense than the Kat Von D. I haven’t noticed a difference in wear time or pigmentation. degree. Overall, this is a great neutral everyday shade and I recommend you definitely check it out if you’re a fan!
Acid Wash: A deep tan with this lightweight formula. I had to retrace a couple of points to make sure it was done.
Killin’ it: A deep pink rose, Killin’ is very soft and pigmented. This color is unusual; It’s a little deeper than the everyday roses, but not dark, hard to pull off.
XOXO: One of the favorites of the bunch, XOXO is a fun red with just a touch of burnt orange. The formula is very pigmented and even.

Vibin: This is a pigmented brick red. I don’t like the color combination, but I can see it wearing very well on black leather.
Shades: Light soup cream as you can see in the lower sections, Shades are slightly muted. However, considering how light the shade is, I’m pretty happy with it.
Bling: My favorite shade is Bling, a neutral mauve rose. The selection is a dream and I find just the perfect color!
Bounce: A pink and shade variation of the previous Bling, Bounce is still wearable because it’s not white or bubblegum-pink. The formula is very pigmented so you get a great application.
Tarteistâ„¢ Creamy Matte Lip Paint
Inside: Smoky, bare bones, Inside looks like the next shade of Delish. The change is more pigmented; I was able to get full coverage with just one swipe. The shade reminds me a bit of a mix of Lolita I and Lolita II by Kat Von D, you can see the swatches here.
Delish: A lighter, more orange version of FrontRow, Delish is a light patch. The format is simple and even.
Al: Perhaps my favorite shade of the bunch, Get It is a sheer peach. I think the road color is yellow and pastel and the surface looks better as a result. That being said, the formula is pigmented and opaque.
Below is a list of all the stupid things I’ve reviewed here. My picks are Killin’, XOXO and Bling. Overall, all the shadows except Acid Wash are highly pigmented and have good coverage.
