The last month of winter has arrived and new stores are opening across the country. On August 9, the Telstra FRE 1.5 Marrickville store opened. We know there’s still some uncertainty as we navigate our new COVID-safe world, but as restrictions ease, we welcome customers back to business with COVID-safe measures. our own new. During the closure, we have decided to close some of our stores to ensure the safety of our employees and customers. We are pleased to announce that our retail network stores are now open.

We continue to focus on providing a COVID-safe environment for our customers and team members. As such, we continue to support a number of measures to ensure that health and safety remain our top priority.
Enhanced cleaning – including hand sanitizer provision and frequent wiping and disinfecting of equipment – has been introduced, along with Plexiglas in customer service areas; effective floor management managing the right number of customers and stores; social distancing and gloves for our employees.

Fiona Hayes is the former Managing Director of the Global Contact Center and has now been appointed as Regional & Retail Manager of Telstra, Telstra Store Network and Telstra Small Business & Consumer. Fiona has a long career in telecommunications, starting with Telstra in a frontline role about 20 years ago. Throughout her career, Fiona has worked across multiple divisions of Telstra’s Operations and Consumer business units. Fiona has held a number of different roles including senior roles leading contact center and business operations, frontline sales and customer service, change transformation and process improvement, planning business planning, investment management and strategy. Fiona has two young sons and lives in Melbourne with her husband Glenn.
As COVID-19 restrictions ease in some states, most Telstra stores that closed in March will reopen.
We have procedures in place to ensure that social distancing continues in the store – such as floor markings and limited number of people in the store at once – and continues to apply hygiene standards strong.
