Dr Geoffrey B graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1987 with a degree in Dental Dentistry. He then practiced dentistry for 6 years with dental practices in Shepparton, Kyabram, Tatura, Tennant Creek and elsewhere. Townsville. This time in rural and remote areas gave Geoff extensive and unique experience in dentistry which inspired him to specialize in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Geoffrey completed his Masters degree at the University of Adelaide. He began his oral and maxillofacial surgery training in Adelaide in 1995, which included a training period at the Royal Darwin Hospital. Jeff completed his surgical fellowship (FRACDS OMS) in 1999 and his clinical doctorate (DoctClinDent OMS) in 2001.
Since then, Dr. Dance worked primarily in public and private practice in Townsville, North Queensland. Jeff started his Townsville Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (TOMS) practice in 2008 and has had a very successful practice for 10 years. Dr Bee has worked at both Hyde Park and Pimlico Townsville Mater Hospitals. The Townsville oral and maxillofacial surgery practice was acquired by Dr Benjamin Rahmel in early 2017.

Geoffrey has been with Queensland Health at Townsville Hospital since 2001, where he briefly served as Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery prior to the current Director, Dr Lakshmi Ramalingam.
Geoff has an abiding interest in research and currently works closely with orthodontics, particularly Drs. Desmond Wong, who is looking at the results of dental autotransplantation. He recently spoke at the Tony Rotondo Memorial Conference in Townsville.
Jeff spends his free time playing with his 7 year old daughter, bushwalking, photography and is an avid birder. He is very interested in the development and restoration of a rural property on the Ocean Highway in Johanna, Victoria.
