Townsville Wedding Reception Venues – The oddball couple met when Adrian started tattooing Katie, and even though they’ve been together for four years, the bride admits he “liked her already”. After an 18-month courtship, they tied the knot in winter in North Queensland, and our friend Carly Tia was the lady lens behind the event. Scroll down for all photos…
Venue “Initially we wanted to host Juniper outside the garden and booked another venue. But that place was just a place, nothing more. So everything had to be organized; Dishes, lighting, furniture, everything. It was very expensive and a lot of work. We looked at a few other places but we weren’t sold. One night we were browsing through Heritage Exchange and realized they had everything! We have to choose the food and organize the decorations. It’s very easy to understand that I don’t have to organize every little thing and it’s a fraction of the cost and still outsourced.

VIBE “Very Us! We lived near Townsville Palmetto and used to walk the dog there all the time. I always love the cactus garden there, our whole yard is covered in cacti and succulents. We went with what represented us and what we liked and it worked.

DIY “Our weddings and photo booth. We expanded our collection of cacti and succulents, collected 70 condensed milk containers (I actually posted on a local Facebook looking for tins. She dropped off her empty containers for us), planted them and covered them with soil and mini rocks. The labels for the tins were made by our graphic designer friend. The photo booth was just Polaroid cameras and we bought a book from Etsy to stick pictures on. We bought all the decorations from various stores around town, including the cut glass and crystal plates we used on the dessert table. Tables of Thrift.”
Dress “I had a hard time choosing a dress. I bought Harper by Made with Love and added the sleeves to my sewing machine. She took the fabric off the train – the train on this dress is insane! In the end, that’s what I wanted and I couldn’t be happier.
A remembered miracle “He walked on me on my stage. I love her so much and I’m glad she came to the ceremony. Also, her speech was so beautiful, I think everyone cried! My father and two brothers passed away, and I was too embarrassed to say anything (I tried to hold back my tears ) so we hang their old pictures. to receive”.
Advice “Elop! Haha well, of course it would have been easy to get away, but I had the best day and I’m glad we did it. My advice is don’t go crazy, we had a very reasonable budget compared to the average wedding. When we were planning, I was a little worried that I wasn’t going to have my Pinterest wedding. It was stressful, but we didn’t have to take out a loan to pay for our wedding and the day was still amazing.

Great vendors “Dylan from Heritage Exchange was very helpful. He was very accommodating – nothing was too much trouble and we appreciate everything he did.
