Homeland’ Recap: Season 5, Episode 8, ‘all About Allison’
A new promo for the episode shows a scene between Sol and Alison in which Branson admits that he downloaded the documents and passed them on. Still trying to figure out why, Alison is seen talking to Ivan Krupin (Mark Ivanir), a Russian intelligence officer, about Saul’s actions.
He tells him, “Saul Branson ran the thumb drive out of the building and then he met Otto Wein and he’s gone.” He then explains that the drive contained 1,361 leaked files and Krupin doesn’t like hearing about it, saying, “Why the hell?”
Allison says, “I have no idea. I’ve been racking my brains to find out.” To this the Russian officer says, “It doesn’t make sense, he [Shaul] hates running.” But Alison suddenly thinks of Carrie and says, “There’s only one person Sol would go out of his way for.”
But Cruffin says Carrie is dead when Alison points out, “I saw a picture, not a body.” Looks like Carrie’s dead woman days are over!

The last time we saw Carrie, she boarded a plane to an unknown destination, with Sol on board, and in the promo she meets the runner, Laura Sutton and hacker Noman in the episode. After Sol is arrested, Carrie is the only one who can find out what’s in the files and why the Russians want to hide them from Carrie.
Elsewhere, Peter Quinn reunited with Dar Adel for another black mission. Kevin tells Dar Adal that he has been asked to escort a group of jihadists to the Syrian border. Darr is impressed by Kevin’s efforts and shares that there is talk of “something big happening in Berlin”. Looks like America’s spy is back at work!
