Wyee Child Care Centre
Welcome to Community Kids Morisset! At Community Kids Morisset, our community is our number one priority. Our family-oriented early learning center provides your child with a home away from home with a team of long-standing and caring teachers offering high-quality care from 6 weeks to 6 years of age. We have an extensive outdoor environment, including three large outdoor play areas with mud kitchens, slides, water play areas and a vegetable garden to explore the natural elements. Children are given time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore open spaces to test their limits and develop strength, balance and confidence. Our indoor environment invites discovery with quality resources and learning experiences. Playing with a variety of materials on purpose-built playgrounds, children wonder, create and test their ideas. Our experienced teachers plan play-based learning experiences based on children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are incorporated into play-based learning as children participate as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists and designers. You will receive daily updates and pictures of your children’s learning and progress in our parenting app. No two days are the same at Community Kids Morisset Early Education Center. Your child will have full access to a rotating schedule of special programs that include music and action. These fun and interesting programs will enhance the daily program. Our center is located near Cam, just 1 minute from the M1 motorway, ideal for families living in or commuting to Morisset or outlying areas near Balcoline, Bonnells Bay, Brightwaters and Cooranbong.

At Community Kids Morisset, rooms are allocated according to the age of the children. Each area is designed to provide the best early learning experience for your child.
Educators strive to provide a home away from home where children feel safe and secure. Children’s well-being and development are the focus, with age-appropriate activities. Children engage in tummy time, sensory play, reading and singing. An open-door policy allows parents free access at any time to eat, play or cuddle.
Teachers encourage children to learn through play with flexible activities. This takes the form of music, dance, games and reading. Group play is designed to develop confidence and social skills. Language books and games are enjoyed to develop communication, literacy and numeracy.
Children navigate the curriculum based on their interests and play preferences. Play is used to encourage development through music, dance, games, reading, technology and lots of outdoor recreation. The school readiness program helps children prepare for the next stage of education.
Wu Yee Children’s Services
Community Kids Morisset’s highly qualified teachers believe that children are unique learners and develop at their own pace through play. Children learn best when they experience things in different ways and feel supported and safe to take risks.
Teachers ensure that children feel safe, supported and able to learn new things and take part in new experiences. They strive to ensure that the environment is attractive, natural, stimulating and fun, which includes the personalities and interests of children and teachers.
A focus on sustainability means that natural and recycled materials are part of the curriculum, sparking curiosity in children for creativity and self-esteem. Parents are encouraged to bring recyclables for the children to use in arts and crafts.
With interactive whiteboards and iPads for the ELLA language program, technology plays an important role in children’s learning. Parents can access photos and updates about their child’s day through the center’s free app.

All seasonal meals and snacks for children are provided by the center’s head chef, with vegetarian or halal options available. The center focuses on providing children with simple, nutrient-dense, unprocessed and seasonal foods. The menus meet Nutrition Australia’s nutritional guidelines and are of high quality, enabling young bodies to develop both mentally and physically.
Kids like things like cereal and toast for breakfast; lunch foods such as pasta, curries and noodles; along with fruit, raisin toast, rice cakes, custard, veggie sticks and crackers for snacks. Children staying at the center for a full day are offered at least 50 percent of the recommended daily amount of food. Children are introduced to the benefits of growing food by helping in the center’s private vegetable garden.
The center’s philosophy includes learning about healthy living and cooking, which they believe is important to children’s well-being and confidence, which in turn helps their ability to focus and learn.
I had to go back to work when my baby was 5 months old, so I was nervous. I can’t put into words how nice the director Shelley and the ladies there were, they followed the agenda I wrote for them and listened to all my concerns. Ivy is now over 1 year old and has a very special bond with one of the teachers. Seeing him, his face lit up! If I have a concern they act right away, the staff are great and love all the kids. Shelley has now created a parent bar for moms and dads on the go, offering free coffee, banana bread, breakfast, and more! The center is very clean and practical and I had a good experience with them

The service is excellent, the quality of the staff is amazing, the play area and spaces are fantastic, the rooms are child-friendly and there are great educational resources. It has become a wonderful place for children to learn and have fun.
I could not have asked for a more positive, safe and nurturing environment for my two children. The director and staff are friendly and accommodating. I feel relieved to put my children at the center and know that they are being cared for by professionals and people who are passionate about their development.
My daughter started Community Kids after transferring to Wyee earlier this year. Moving and starting a new center has made me nervous and anxious, but he really loves his new ‘school’, he’s always talking about his teachers and what they’re doing, and he’s made some great friends . The teachers are approachable, kind and passionate about providing the best learning/care experience.
I could not have asked for a more kind, caring, understanding and supportive staff for my son Deion.

The girls in the children’s room are incredible. They encourage learning and development by engaging children with a variety of fun activities throughout the day. Knowing that my daughter will be attending this wonderful facility has made returning to work as a first-time mom easier and given me some peace of mind.
